RF ONLINE - Free To Play
It maybe an old news to others, but to some it is still new. Did you know that Korea's RF Online (RFO) is already Free To Play since last year? To quote the article posted at mmosite.com,
Recently, Korean-based CCR Inc. announced that after they started to "charge for in-game items" in replacement of the standard monthly subscription package for RF Online, on September 27th, the number of new users increased 25 times.
I know some of you also wish that same thing will happen to RFO - Philippines, just like my friend who is a certified "RFO Addict."
Well, just last year, Tantra Online also shift from monthly subscription to "charge for in-games items," and I believe that it brought increase in the number of Tantra players. I may not have the actual data (for the increase); but based from my actual observation from nearby internet cafes, increase in Tantra players happened since they applied this scheme.
I hope Level Up Games, who is the distributor of RFO in the Philippines, will take this into consideration.
